Intimate Encounter

He fumbles with the lock of the apartment door, almost dropping his keys twice in the process. What should be a simple reflex honed by years of repetition, has suddenly become a fervent game of skill, forced upon him by the beautiful woman in his arms and a stubborn unwillingness to interrupt their ardent embrace. In the end, she proves the stronger of the two and peels away, long enough at least for him to achieve his goal.

Soaked through to the skin by a torrential rain that threatened to impede their mad dash across the parking lot to the lobby, they let neither the damp, nor its resulting chill, quell their hunger for each others’ heat. Single-mindedly enmeshed in an intricate and evolving exploration of passion and limits, they propel themselves across the threshold, hesitating only long enough for him to kick the door closed behind them.

No attempts are made to locate a light switch. Swept up in a pursuit of mutual conquest, they grope their way through the dark instead, sheets of lightning tearing open the sky beyond windows left bare, exposing a seductive peepshow in brief flashes of time. Deep, rolling thunder attempts to drown out the already deafening sound of their hearts pounding in their ears. The storm outside keeping pace with the sexual tension that threatens to overwhelm them from within.

With the last shreds of clothing cast aside, he manoeuvres her against the wall, back pressed flat, her fingers digging into his chest. Her breath escapes her body in short, shallow gasps as his tongue eagerly slips between her trembling lips. Neither has experienced such unbridled lust before and, as if in fear of never doing so again, they commit themselves to total abandon, equally determined to regret nothing.
