The Short of It

The offspring of Canadian island-born parents (Manitoulin and Newfoundland), Christopher’s childhood of skoolie* road trips and countryside excursions were spent with family and his faithful mutt sidekick, Scout. His imagination, an irrepressible force of nature, often burst forth through raised voice, frenzied activity, and drawing. Lots and lots of drawing.

All through school, Christopher pursued first illustration and then later, music and writing. He had planned to be a comic illustrator or a cartoonist, but adulthood and family responsibilities took him down another rewarding, but different, path. Then, in 2020, with his children all grown and different opportunities now available, he reconnected with that childhood creative passion and decided to start again.

Now, currently employed as an application developer, Christopher lives north of Toronto, Ontario, where he spends as much time as possible on projects such as writing and illustrating children’s books. He dreams of being a full time artist and illustrator in a house in the country with the love of his life and a large dog, surrounded by hills and trees that bring him a sense of peace and home.

Christopher is seeking agent representation.
